From mid-2007 to mid-2008 (until RG 2008) he won 3 Masters Series tournaments (defeating Fed in one of them, Nadal in the other one), but also won one Grand slam, reached another slam final (losing to Fed) and played the semifinal in the two other slams (losing to Nadal).
Later he won the WTF.
It was much better than what he has now in his ranking.
yeh I know, but it was his consistency in 2009 MS I was referring to - 1W, 4F, 2S and 2Q, didn't fail to reach the QF of any, and his best W/L of 33/8 for the year... obviously there were more 'highlights' in '07/'08, but he was just incredibly solid for the year - went a long way towards his great 78-19 (career best - 80%) year end record.
