I was talking about a 52 weeks span not their entire career while in their 30's. Federer is still playing so I can't evaluate his entire career as a whole. I was pointing out how these impressive results that garnered him the #1 ranking in the past 52 weeks. Yes, it's the most impressive 52 weeks span than any other 30 year old.

I mean if any other of the younger players managed that feat in the past 52 weeks, we would be excited that finally another young gun would be stepping it up. I'm sure any player in the top 20 (and their fans) beside Nadal or Nole, would trade the past 52 weeks results by Federer for their own record if they could.

Stan Wawrinka & Roger Federer

Gael Monfils & Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

Re: From JesusFed to Fedzniacki ..

Points derived from all 9 Masters 1000 are more than those from all 4 Grand Slam.

If somebody becomes no. 1 in 52 weeks w/o Slam, you can only blame the ranking systems but not the player!

It's okay, no one takes Certinfy's butthurt predictions seriously anyway.

But that longevity was not sustained. Agassi was floating in and out of tennis, enjoying the Hollywood scene with Brooke Shields - taking breaks (almost like the Williams sisters) so his tennis shelf life was shorter than Fed's. Fed's never left the game, amassing an incredible 33 straight GS QFs.

Well, that's what Fed fans said when he became 30. The response then was that 30 is just too old nowadays and that he's done. After he anyway managed to come back to no. 1. we now hear it is a normal thing. Would be glad to see some more consistency....how do you feel about 31-32? Do you have Fed as favourite to win more slams, or will you acknowledge that it is an immense achievement if he does anyway?

And Djokovic, too.

Nadal - Dimitrov - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Carreno Busta - Chardy - Cuevas

This Wimbledon has really done Matt in. He's finally lost the plot completely. Poor sap.
