WWW AOR3: Raonic vs Youzhny (10)

What do you think? Raonic was playing really well against LLodra, his 1st serve is great, fast, good accuracy- many aces and so on. Even his 2nd set what used to be weakness by big servers is pretty solid. Yes Youzhny is far better returner than Llodra of Phau, but Raonic has great results in tie-break, great serve. I think after Youzny so struggles with Kavcic, Raonic can take him down.

Re: Raonic vs Youzhny

Misha will slice him to death.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Re: Raonic vs Youzhny

Interesting match up, Raonic has nothing to lose, may play better than against Llodra but will need also luck here and there to beat Youzhny.

The bandwagoner inside says Milos. I like the guy so I really hope so.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

Re: WWW AOR3: Raonic vs Youzhny (10)

I just look on the statistics and really i think Raonic chances against Youzhny are good. Youzhny was leading 2:0 against Kavcic and still it went to 5 sets, so that is not good resume for Mikhail. But here are stats for Raonic game with Llodra
http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/...9/1206dss.html
His 1st serve average was 203km/h, but his average 1st serve on the centre line were 214km/h and 219km/h! those numbers are amazing. Even his 2nd serve was amazing 182km/h average speed on the center line this guy has serve like Roddick in old times when he was shooting and trying to hit fastest ace but he is 1.95m high, so he can move pretty well, guy with serve like Ivo or Isner and none of them disadvantages about movements. I really don´t know how want Youzhny beat him. And his tie-break record on the tour is somehting like 14-5- i am not sure but before the 1st set tie-break with llodra they showed some statistic and i think it was 12-5 so after match 14-5. Really i am looking forward to see what can Mikhail do on the return.

Re: WWW AOR3: Raonic vs Youzhny (10)

I have a feeling Raonic will win this, he's looksed superb so far.
Future top 10 player.

Youzhny is a current top 10 player, sure, but he hasn't played well at all this tournament, so he could lose.

I second this. I really want Raonic to win, but I think Youzhny will be the winner.. unfortunately. I would love for Milos to prove me wrong though!
