Just wow. Complete meltdown.

Janko served for the match in the 3rd, and had match points in the 4th.

Credit to Verdasco for continuing to fight after his little ankle problem in the 4th (facing match points) but Janko seriously blew it.

Spectacular choke.
+respect for Verdasco for the fight and raising his level while against the wall in the fourth set.

nice gamesmanship from fiasco on the ankle pain in that 5-6 game in the fourth set. Tipsarevic, once a choker, always a choker.

Tipsy gave up in the TB, but this is the second straight GS in which Nando comes from 0-2, so you gotta acknowledge the guy is a fighter

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Boom! Saved 3 MP's.

Althought Tipsa couldn't hit a 1st serve to save his life, big big stuff from El Jefe from Madrid.

After the lost tiebreak, Tipsa was broken. Treated for MTO, and no footwork anymore.

Nishikori next.

Yeah wow, he didn't even attempt to return the last 2 serves of the match. That's kind of sorry.

Verdasco won 19 points in a row in a passage of play during the end of the fourth set and the start of the fifth set.

Re: AO R2: Nando accepts choke from Tipsarevic 2-6, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(0), 6-0

Meltdown in the 5th set but I couldn't call it choke in terms of the way Cockdasco saved match points I saw matches with more match points saved but can't recall 3 match points saved in that style - especially the 2nd and the 3rd one were tremendous Excellent 4th set overall, Nando becomes a new 5-set specialist

Since the beginning of the tie-break Tipsarevic's mind was somewhere else, it's strange he didn't even break his racquet

It's actually bizarre how predictable the outcome of this match was.

Choking mugfest, NID.

Tipsy blew 3 MP's on serve, one of which he was in total control of and merely needed to put away a decent volley.

I wish that Tipsy would have just retired at the beginning so the Nole-Dodig match would come sooner.

Absolute joke of a match. Just as bad as we feared it could be.

Janko was 6-5 40*-15 in the fourth but atrocious vollying on the second match point cost him the match. In the fifth he just gave up, which was just pathetic.

Terrible, just terrible.
