Jo

I was hoping for something easier.

I can't lie, i'm so happy for Jo. He knows how to win a 5-set match.

AO R1: 5-set monster Tsonga def. Petzschner 4-6 2-6 6-2 6-3 6-4

5-set monster strikes again

Very entertaining points in this match.

After Nadal beat Monfils at Doha, before AO 2014

Lost here in R1 to Mayer last year after taking the first two sets 6-0 6-2.

Nice recovery though, Jo

well-deserved win Jo shoulda been alot easier.

Electric atmosphere, both guys feeding off the energy, ending with Aussie crowd chanting Tsonga's name like crazy. Tsonga has to be the most charismatic player on tour

Don't get me wrong Petzschner folded like a tent, but what fucking balls from Tsonga.

Apparently he's got something wrong with his lower back, hopefully he can keep playing

It is always good to see "Picasso" (what a disgrace to art and humankind that this kind of person owns that nick) out of TV screen.

Jo sorted out his serving and net play as the match went on.

Very few aces though so wouldn't be a surprised if his back was a factor.

His volleys in the final two sets were sensational, especially on big points.

I hope not - he's really had more than his fair share of injuries. He deserves a good long stretch where he's not sidelined because of one thing or another

Great match I think Petzschner made a tactical mistake that didn't change the pace in the 5th set, Tsonga was very eager but had some physical problems too, I'm not sure whether it was his right groin or something else in that area.
