AO R1: Soderling def. Starace 6-4 6-2 6-2

Toad was in cruise control of the match, Potato tried some S&V to lure him from the baseline but the Swede was superior in all aspects, very good win and there are tons of points for him to win here

He's paid his dues and is much more confident, even joking around with the linesjudges in the third set

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Soderling played very well from what I saw...Starace looked like he was tanking the 3rd set, but he was never going to be a huge challenge for the Swede.

Funny how Robin had a chat with the lineswomen looked like it was for fun, first time in like 2 years.

Pathetic that they don't have Hawkeye on Margaret and Court 2 !!!!!!!!!

It was a clinic performance.

Robin moved pretty well today, and hit the ball cleanly too. It looks like it's gonna be a longer tournament for him this time around.

And the winners/UE ratio was just amazing.

Robin played better and better as the game progressed, very aggressive today. 47 winners, not bad at all. Serving could need some extra tuning though.

And of course two of Nadal threats, both in great form, have to fight each other for a place in SF. Pathetic.
