Nico Lapentti retires

Goodbye Nico, will surely be missed. One of my favourite players of all time.

Talented player, such a classy guy, leaves great memories from tennis for me.

Good luck in life after tennis Nico, you will be missed... one of the best fighters ever to grace a tennis court.

Always remember his greatest year in 1999. Great player who mixes up his game very well with a lot of different spins.

Re: Nico Lapentti retires

.. Is it just me or did you use good riddance in the wrong context?

Anyway, good luck to the guy. Former world number 4 was he? Not sure, but I remember him being pretty high some time ago.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

Vamos Nico. One of the smartest players on the tour, great variety, and an awesome fighter. Wish I had the opportunity to watch one of his epic matches live.

Yeah, you used good riddance in the wrong context. It means you didn't like him and are happy to see him go
