Auckland F: Ferrer def. Nalbandian 6-3 6-2

Nalby clearly tanked after being down 3-6 2-3*. Shame.

Well done Ferrer, played great tennis in the final.

David F. wanted it more and took it. Nalburgerbandian honestly played like he was resting for AO.

Congrats to Pics on starting 2011 in a very positive way.

Dream final for ferrer, barely broke a sweat.

I think even I could have beaten nalbandian today. The errors he made were just shocking.

Re: Auckland F: Ferrer def. Nalbandian 6-3 6-2

Typical match between a more defensiv baseliner against a aggressiv one. All in all a deserved win for Ferrer. Nalbandian didn't start bad, some really good points, good forehands and backhands. Ferrer's service saved him sometimes (I think that his service was pretty good today). But in the end of the first set, Nalbandian begins to make more and more errors (the second set war really bad in this aspect), so he could'nt stand in a longer rally. Ferrer, how we knows hin, not with many winners but with few errors. Congratulation to him for the first title in the new year. Let's see how he plays in Melbourne, he hasn't much to defend there.

Played in 1h10 and full passion: he deserves that win.
Nalby should lose his fat if he wants to get back up in ranking.

Expected one. Nalbandian's worst match-up.

The only explanation for this result is that a hot dog stand was built just behind the courts.
