Auckland QF: Giraldo def. Bellucci 6-2 6-4

Santi was amazing

Excellent FH DTL, very solid in defense, he held serve in tricky situations.

The match was pretty good, both guys went all out in the second set

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Expected, bellucci is a mug on hard.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Who called it? I called it Giraldo will be a force this year, definitely on clay and possibly on hard.

Why did Bellucci call the trainer in the first set?

Go for the upset. Hmm, Bellucci seemed to have a headache, and the commentators guessed some kind of dizziness or something. Not sure what happened, but it didn't prevent Giraldo from playing very well.

If at first you don't succeed, lower your standards.

Giraldo's game is fun to watch when it works.

Bellucci still has work to do.

Why is this player not more popular? Only asking.. he has a solid game, his fh is good and he's not bad looking either.

DELPO

Also supporting known chokers Verdasco, Lopez and Monaco

I'm a fan of giraldo ever since his match against ferrero last year on the dirt.

giraldo continues to surprise but he was muggish on clay in davis cup while playing in front of his own people.
