Re: Sydney QF: Gulbis double bagels Stakhovsky 6-4 6-4

Good game from Ernest, not many aces today:d only 3 but i hope he would serve better in next match. I hope he will destroy Simon and than in final i expect him to play Troicki. He has great opportunity now to win here title. Simon vs Gulbis will be pretty good match i hope, because those two play totally different tennis. Most of time guys with great defense like Simon managed to win against guys like Gulbis, because they just need to stay in the rally and everything hit back on other side of the court and high-risky players like Gulbis make tooo many errors and lost the match, so i hope Gulbis will hit the lines and advance to final match.

Re: Sydney QF: Gulbis double bagels Stakhovsky 6-4 6-4

He won on his 2nd serves tonight. He had a shoulder problem yesterday it seems, so he probably won with his shots and good concentration and improved his returns a lot.

Good win because he had no easy game, fighting all along saving many BP on the way.

Hope he can heal his shoulder before AO.

Yay Ernests!! Take the title now Pathetic from tournament organisers for not putting him on Centre Court when he is the best seed left in the draw. Hope Simon/Gulbis match will be a good one!

Good win for E-Gul. I think, he has a good shot to win the title. His season is good, so far. C'MON!

Simon said the wind was awful today and made it hard to serve from one side.

Old MTF joke.

Beautiful double bagel from gulbis.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

The legacy continues. Stakhovsky is 8-0 combined in ATP semis and finals, I couldn't see him taking the title this week so he HAD to lose here .

Ernest was up 5-2 in the first set but couldn't serve it out When he was serving again at 5-4 he had to save at least 1 BP. Still, good thing he managed to do it

Glad Ernie is back after that poor finish to 2010.

Real shot at the title here but still never know when he'll throw in a stupid loss. Consistency has definitely improved.
