Auckland R16: Isner def. Haase 3-6, 7-6 (4), 7-5

The court looked too fast for John to play on for about a set and 3/4. He really picked up his level at the tiebreak and the third set he competed much better. Honestly, Haase looks like a great player but he is still too weak on the big points and his first serve can get away from him. Robin should've won but big John gutted it out somehow.

Good to see Isner still winning these close matches while he's not playing his best. Building up the form and confidence.

Clown errors from Hasse to lose the match; he's another talent that should have beaten Nadull at Wimbledon and will never do anything else. Still, good win from Isner, if he can beat Nalby he's a real threat to become top 10 this year.

Isner wins time and time again after losing the first and taking the second in a tiebreaker.

Great John, just great.

I think "Isner - Nalbandian" is the final.
The winner is the winner of the tournament

I actually think Bernard Tomic will easily win career-year mixed doubles slam in 2020.

Jealous? Yeah, you are, you dirty hater.

Ouch Robin. Faced just one break point in 16 serve games. Robins bp convertion wasn't too good though.

That's his trademark (generally winning the 2nd set in a tie-break after losing the first, sometimes loses the third - last year 4 times) but he couldn't do this last time when he met Haase in Basel - the Dutchman won 6-2 6-7 7-5.

Isner is good in tough situations. His tiebreak record must be pretty good.
