Doha QF Tsonga Tsongs GGL 7-6(4) 7-6(9)

So happy for Jo.
Excelent rally in MP

I actually think Bernard Tomic will easily win career-year mixed doubles slam in 2020.

Jealous? Yeah, you are, you dirty hater.

A very entertaining 2nd set tie break. GGL threw the kitchen sink and Tsonga came up with massive serves to save the SPs against him.

So happy to see him back.

Not a bad match for the beginning of season. Good to see Jo in form. GGL still surprises though.

Two of my faves in a close match, good to see. I foresee good things for both in 2011, especially for Tsonga.

Re: Doha R3 Tsonga Tsongs GGL 7-6(4) 7-6(9)

Not bad, but Tsonga shouldn't have let either set go to a tiebreak, bit careless. Will come with more matches though.

GGL and his doublefaults though ....

Re: Doha QF Tsonga Tsongs GGL 7-6(4) 7-6(9)

Lots of drama in this match.
GGL double-faulted 2 in a row to give triple bps at *3-4, then broken to love.
Tsonga mugging without 1st serve in, broken back. 30-0* in the next game, lost his opportunity by passive return.
Another bp in 11th, saved.
0-3 down in 1st breaker, amazing winner at 2-4* and turned it around to squeeze it out 7-4.
3-1 up 2nd, broken in the sixth. Heard 1-4 in 2nd breaker followed by some clutch plays.

I just CAN'T STAND IT any longer.

Still shining: Roger Federer / Andy Murray / Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

Stars of Tomorrow: Nick Kyrgios / Kyle Edmund / Borna Coric / Francis Tiafoe

He is fairly dumb at shot selection and game strategy now and then. Needs those tight matches under belt though for he lacks match practice.

Still shining: Roger Federer / Andy Murray / Jo-Wilfried Tsonga
