Hopman Cup: Hewitt def Golubev 6-3 6-3

Good stuff from Lleyton

Was aggressive enough and got on top early, then just sort of coasted through. Moved well and played a smart, clean match. Got broken while serving for the first set at 5-2, but other than that his serve was very good today and improved as the match went on. Finished in the high 60s for first serve percentage and won most of the points behind first and second serves.

Golubev displayed some great offense and also some error strewn play, as you'd expect I guess. Tough to gauge how he'll do at the Open. He's got the game but obviously won't be too happy with his form this week after an encouraging start.

Not a bad performance. Only caught the last few games, but he was striking the ball quite well.

That's the first time that I've been asked, and I'm afraid that I'm not SteveG. I Probably should have given that some thought when choosing my name

Another mistake I made when selecting my name The 'TG' stands for The Gull. The first forum I ever joined was a football forum, and I support a team who's nickname is The Seagulls.

However, I am more than happy to be called Stevo The Great from here on in

fortunately you do not fervently support federer or nadal stevo... in which case it would have been The Gimp...
