Doha R1: GGL d. Kukushkin 6-1 7-6(1)

Good win from GGL, over one of the guys of the end of last season. Only saw the end of the 2nd set and that looked pretty good by both.
GGL choked a bit, but then stepped it up after 5-6 0-30, and even sp. Some nice shotmaking, keep it up GGL!

Doha R1: GGL def. Kukushkin 6-1 7-6(1)

It wasn't a good match, actually. GGL played really well in the first set and Kukushkin was making a lot of ues. GGL took the early break in the second set, too. Kukushkin broke back though. GGL gets broken when he was serving for the match at *5-4 (also missed MP on serve). Then, he saved set point on himself serve at *5-6. Tiebreak was very easy for Spaniard.

I think, Kukushkin was playing much better end of the last year. I didn't like his game today. GGL was as always. The next one Zverev or Marchenko for GGL.

Kinda windy. GGL mugged up the 2nd set, broke 1st game, gifted it back, broke again and served for match, choked hard.

Decent stuff from GGL apart from when he served for it at 5-4. Made up for it in the tiebreak though. Chance of a good run here.

Mughail Kukushkin was hopeless. Even after GGL choke he couldn't capitalize.
