2010 Rankings by surface and Slam results

Follows is a table of the top 25 players and their 2010 ranking in each category; clay court points, grass court points, hard court points, indoor points and Grand Slam points.

Please note that the rankings only take into this year's tour level results. I also omitted Davis Cup and World Team Championship points due to the dependency on team mates. For my discussion of the table and the complete method I used to come up with these rankings see my article.

Ferrer #2 on clay

No #5, but I'm thinking it's Ferrero?

Re: 2010 Rankings by surface and Slam results

Very nice.

As far as clay results are concerned, Murray might as well be American

Djokovic is disgustingly consistent: not really going backwards and not really going forwards. Wouldn't be surprised if he made the 2011 French Open final and then went out in the 4th round at the U.S. Open. When he disappoints, he always seems to compensate for it.

Correct, Ferrero (ranked 29) is 5th on clay. Other players outside the top 25 who placed top 15 in a category are:

Hewitt - 8th on grass, 54th overall
Lu - equal 9th on grass, 35th overall
Bellucci - 12th on clay, 31st overall
Chela - 13th on clay, 38th overall
Stakhovsky - 13th on grass, 46th overall
Simon - 13th indoors, 41st overall
Benneteau - 14th on grass, 44 overall

Only top 25 players ranked top 15 in Slams. Special mentions to Hewitt who ranked 17th in Slams, 54th overall and Mathieu who ranked tied 27th in Slams and 97th overall.

Re: 2010 Rankings by surface and Slam results

LOL at Roddick being a former No.1 as his completely useless in clay. I bet he wouldn't be able to win even a Challenger tournament in Clay...

Proud fan of:

Sporting Clube de Portugal, Fútbol Club Barcelona, Newcastle United Football Club, FK Vilniaus Žalgiris
