Roddick stronger and quicker for 2011?

http://www.atpworldtour.com/News/DEU...y-Roddick.aspx

So we started the workout and he was doing really well, and I was actually going to cut him short because if he’s not finishing the work out healthy then it doesn’t really matter. Andy looked at me and said, ‘You don’t win the %#@!!% Australian Open by cutting short your work outs.’"

Roddick's actually quite consistent at AO,has yet to go further than SF yes but I don't recall any early round exits from him there like 2005 USO against Muller. So he should reach QF atleast.

He lost to Kohlschreiber in 5 sets in 2008. It was R32.

Ah yes, can't believe I forgot that match. Was pretty intense,Kohl was ripping those BHs all day long and served great as well,Roddick also had that argument with umpire LOL.Still his record at AO is overall quite good.

he can be stronger and quicker all he wants, if his forehand still doesn't land past the service box he's not winning squat.

Roger Federer

Djokovic~Wawrinka~Gasquet~Lopez~Dimitrov~Thiem~Kar lovic~Fognini~Gulbis

Re: Roddick stronger and quicker for 2011?

Roddick is so inconsistent.

If he plays out of his mind and really steps it up he can go to the SFs to lose honorably to one of the top 4. I can't see another Wimbeldon 08 when he got to the final though.

Either way, I really can't see Roddick actually winning his #2 Grand Slam. If he reaches the final he will lose to Federer. Roddick surprising has a better record against Nadal, Djokovic and Murray then against Federer's HTH of what... like 20-1 now? lol

Re: Roddick stronger and quicker for 2011?

Rogie's 20-2 vs. Roddick. At one point Rogie won 13 straight sets (2004 W until 2006 USO). Also, it was the 2009 Wimbledon F b/w Rogie and Roddick, not 2008.
