I'am not so sure, Del-po is 6-6 with massive finishing power of both wings that is tailor made for nadull. When was the last time a player destroyed nadull in a GS .2,2,2. John Mc enroe/mary carillo before the USO stated that this is nadull's chance to win the USO because del-po is out injured. Del-po height & forehand will give nadull problems.Del-po will only get better he is still young.
All fair points, but you forgot one thing: wrist injury and tennis player is not what you ever want to hear in the same sentence. Del Potro has been out for many months and I feel people are overrating him a little bit because of his USO run. As everyone knows it takes a great deal of time to get back to reasonable form on ATP tour, nevermind to top 5 being a slam contender. Del Potro might be a decent ball basher, who can get hot and beat everyone, but it is uncertain how much his injury affected him physically and mentally (rumors are he is in depression, thus pulling out of all 2010 events). Unlike many people on the board proclaiming Del Potro a new dominating force in tennis or some kind of Nadal destroyer, I am a bit skeptical. Let's see what he can do in the next 12 months. If he can consistently beat Nadal at least 50% of the time on his least favorite surface, I will gladly eat my words.
