Youngest player to win a challenger

Does anyone know who the youngest player to win a challenger is? I know Bernard Tomic was 16 years and 4 months old when he won the Melbourne challenger but I'm sure there has been a player out there younger, maybe Nadal?

Re: Youngest player to win a challenger

I'm almost convinced Chang is the youngest Challenger winner - 15 years 9 months winning Las Vegas in 1987

Re: Youngest player to win a challenger

chang's youngest records are ridiculous. can you imagine a 17 year old (and barely 17 at that) winning RG today? lol.

Re: Youngest player to win a challenger

today's youngsters are low-quality, no match for Nadal's generation.

Borg, Wilander, Becker and Chang deny the theory of weak mentality being a teenager

Tennis changed a lot since then. Today it's impossible to do damage in ATP being a teenager.

JUAN MARTIN DEL POTRO

Grigor Dimitrov | Bernard Tomic | Kei Nishikori | Ernests Gulbis
Jiri Vesely | Nick Kirgyos | Thanasi Kokkinakis | Alexander Zverev

Re: Youngest player to win a challenger

It's hard to make a ranking for the Futures because you have the archives only until 1998.
Since then, Nadal and Djokovic won their first Future at the age of 16 years and 1 month, I think nobody did better

I know this list is only from 2001, but what age did Hewitt and Federer win their first challenger? Or did they ever?

A little younger than 18 yo for Hewitt, a little older ther 18 yo for Federer. I'm too lazy to make the exact math in month.
