Paris R1: Wawrinka def. Ouanna 6-3 7-5

Is Ouanna the worst player ever to embrace us with his presence in the Top100 ?

Wawrinka was not too much better

That backhand of Ouanna

Well Ouanna did occasionally hit a good inside out forehand. Wawrinka didn't really step out of fist gear but I guess that was enough for him to get a break of serve in each set.

Some silly errors from both of them thoughout but it was perhaps a little more comfortable for Wawrinka than the second set scoreline might suggest.

Hey. Ouanna's not that bad. I've seen him play some awesome tennis on his day.

.. Today was not that day.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Here's a tip. Don't regret nothin'. You ain't got the time. Before you know it, you'll be 60 something years old giving free advice to some cheapskate runt... Then going home and regretting it.

how can you praise Ouanna's tennis and thrash Gasquet's tennis?

You must be confusing me with someone else. I'm one of the people who thinks Richie will get back into the top 15 or so. Apart from a few wise-cracks about coke and being realistic about him sometimes running on talent alone, I havent said too much wrong about him.
