Actually there's a lot going on with him here in Brazilian tennis scenario. He gave a polemic interview last week saying that the country has no good coaches except for Larri Passos and João Zwetsch, also that former players don't do anything for the national tennis to grow. Then he fires his coach Zwetsch in the following days and receives some harsh answers from important people of Brazilian tennis.

It was made a really big deal of it, now he has to handle it. Carlos Alberto Kirmayr, former player, coach of Gabriela Sabatini when she was numer 1 in the world and now working with women's tennis said he was an "irresponsible child" and that he should start practicing volleys instead of giving press conferences.

He just isnt that good period. Overated player who could never take a set off a player like Federer. He is mindless, and really one dimensional. Boring player and i hope he he wins jackshit in the future. This loss in Brazil is disgraceful, an aspiring top 20 player shouldnt have these losses. Hope Tomaz was booed out of the stadium, and drops out of the top 30 soon where he belongs. Him being in the top 25 shows how weak the playing field is atm.

Daniel is mediocre at best. This is the best he will achieve in his career, with his many other challenger titles. What a joke. No congratulations to either player. What a farce
