Re: 2010 Titles by Country So Far

It's amazing to see how Switzerland is at 3rd, when Spain, U.S. France, Argentina, and Russia, have a ridiculous amount of competitors available. Quality wise Argentina has been good in the past, just as of late, they seem to have gone down hill. Injuries account for part of the reasons. Spain seems to have like a revolution in tennis or something. They have just been cruising through the sport.

7.

And Sean Connery disagrees. And you know Sean Connery is always right.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

Wow Spain are seriously leading the pack then, why is it they can produce so much talent and Britain are lucky to get 1 contender a decade.

Re: 2010 Titles by Country So Far

When you add doubles titles, USA jumps to 27, Spain has 26, Serbia 11, Sweden 7, Argentina/Austria/France at 6, Canada/India/Russia/Romania at 5 and Switzerland at 4.

With the exception of David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez, all of Spain's 12 title winners this year have won at least two titles

Clearly Nigeria's players will win all the titles for the rest of the season.

Federer / Haas / Safin / Gaudio / Kuerten / Youzhny / Nadal / Gonzalez / Ljubicic / Hewitt / Soderling / Wawrinka / Coria / Nalbandian / Kohlschreiber

MTF desperately needs clowns from camps other than the main two. You're doing great in that capacity

Re: 2010 Titles by Country So Far

A more accurate representation would be to give the result taking into account the number of players per country. If you have a country with 20 players and another one with only 2 in the top100, it seems more likely that the former country will have more chances to win titles than the latter, no?
