WWW Genova Open

Who cares about the US Open, when you have the Genova Open in Italy going on this week! The US Open has been lame, predictable, with rather poor matches. The Genova Open has been much more exciting, and much more Italian, and nothing is better than Italian tennis and Italian challengers on clay. All four semifinalists are Italian, so the fans will definitely be having fun rooting their men on. Who do you guys think will take the title?

SF Matches

Bolelli v Starace

Seppi v Fognini

Re: WWW Genova Open

Potatoe or seppi.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Re: WWW Genova Open

I think Starace will win this. Bolelli comes from my region and I've seen him many many times and every time I see him it seems to me even more lazy and dumb.. guy has talent but it seems that he doesn't wants to show it for more than three minutes lol. So I think he'll lose to Starace, who is a solid clay player and has the necessary strength even to beat Seppi or Fognini. here I think Fognini will win, plus he is used to these courts 'cos he cames from Genova region, I saw him too many times and he has much potential, but lacks of continuity and he's not ready for a breakout.. but he shows great matches and I think he'll beat a Seppi who I ever hated much more than many other Italian players even if he comes from my northern italy

anyway Starace will win this and I hope that these victories and these tournaments will help some good Italian player to raise 'cos we never sucked like this in all the open-era.. and we're gonna take a 5-0 from Sweden in davis cup, lol

Re: WWW Genova Open

This is the best tournament after Umag.

Seppi and Starace can play in the final, OMFG!
I think Potito will clinh this.

What's the fastest way to get to Genova, please?
Just some 600km away from me, damn.

Oh well, Ljubljana challenger is coming up soon...and that's only 15 minutes away from me.

Yes, played well in the last two sets to do it also. He's the best player in the draw, in terms of level.

Outside of Andreev, also Gabashvili, Massu, Volandri and Zverev played this event, so it was a good draw. Would have been even deeper had Cuevas and Gil played but they were in the US still with the doubles.
