The match last night I didn't want to stay up and watch, because it was late, it was a predictable outcome, and I didn't give a fuck. I saw it anyway, Fed played pretty decently. But in the third set, I think Fed injured his back again on a point where he lost his footing and slipped and put a lot of pressure on his back, then was forced to hit a tough passing shot on the run. After that point, I saw him with that sort of worried expression on his face, and also doing those pained facial expression he does. At the change of ends, he looked at his box and said something, again looking a little upset about something. I don't know if it's just paranoia, and he's been made to serve much less through this event than years previous, but he didn't look right to me there, it didn't feel right.
Did anyone see what I'm talking about?
Patrick Mouratoglou did
"As far as Federer goes, I have to say that I've been worried lately. His wins over Paul-Henri Mathieu , Jurgen Melzer [and Robin Söderling]
left me with a bitter taste and I've noticed some signs of pain in his back again.
I say this because I've felt he has been lacking in some initiative and being very static with his footwork - he's not pushing down enough on his legs and seems to be lacking some frequency there. And this is totally different behaviour compared with what he had been showing in Toronto and Cincinnati."
