That's what happens when you bank on big runs from qualifying in majors. You won't get lucky and be hot every time, and sometimes you play a player hotter than you.

Hopefully now Jesse starts from the beginning and begins to play better at the future and challenger level and actually play good tennis for more than 4 events a year.

I thought he would be given a WC for main draw, heck at least he's shown he can win matches in Grand Slam... I'm curious to see how many WC will reach second round

Jesse does not deserve a WC. He's 6-14 in challengers this year. He's 82-101 in his career in challengers. You have to earn a WC with your play, and he has failed to do so. Jesse seems like a nice guy. But the cinderella story is over here.
