Re: Which Top 8 Seed Will Go Out First At The 2010 US Open?

Most likely between Verdasco and Davydenko imo.

Verdasco hasn't been in good form/physical shape for a little while now and it is hard to look beyond R3 (Nalbandian) for him. Davydenko is also struggling, and Gasquet R2 is a little nasty. That being said, Gasquet unfortunately lacks the balls these days and tends to go out with a whimper.

Djokovic could be in a little bit of trouble...Troicki has managed to string together a few wins this week which might boost his confidence a little. The Nole of old would still be able to work him over, but these days nothing is guaranteed for him. If Troicki has an excellent serving day and tees off a little in his return games it could get very interesting.

Berdych could have a few problems with Llodra as well.

The other guys should be okay, although we don't yet know who Soderling will be playing (probably won't make a lot of difference).

It will probably be verdasco

i dont think davy will go out as soon as some people think. He looked good against federer and that and the win over ferrer may be what he needed to get hos conifdence back and his game going

from reports of practice sessions davy is looking very good

Verdasco should be the first one out. Davydenko could be the first or second one out, however, I can't really tell. He did play well against Federer, but he hasn't really been back long enough to see how consistent this form really is.

As far as the other players, I expect they should all at the very least make the second week together.

Federer / Haas / Safin / Gaudio / Kuerten / Youzhny / Nadal / Gonzalez / Ljubicic / Hewitt / Soderling / Wawrinka / Coria / Nalbandian / Kohlschreiber

Probably Nando as everyone has said. Remember he's playing his Wimbledon nemesis Fabio in R1.
