Re: Cincinnati R2: Ferrer def. Querrey 7-5 6-2
I gotta believe Querrey's already burned himself out ahead of the US Open, and he's due to play New Haven next week. As much as I want to like the guy, he disappoints me with his approach and attitude towards the game. He will never be a serious contender or top player until he 1) grows up, and 2) smartens up.
Good win for Ferrer. He needs a solid result in Cincy to boost his confidence heading into the US Open.
There are times, rare moments, when the greatest of champions fall. Maybe because of a bad day or maybe there's pain within. One thing you can be sure of, is that all the great champions will bounce back again. It may not be today. It may not be tomorrow. But one day, they'll be back again. And they'll be better than ever. Why??? Because that's what great champions do. They survive.
