Toronto R1: Gulbis def. Bellucci 6-1, 6-4

In the 2nd set, Gulbis came up from 0-3 hole and made a few incredible returns to climb back into the set.

Ran off with 5 straight games And he had match-point on Bellucci's serve to make it 6. A theoretical bagel, if you will.

Not much of a closer, though. Was almost broken after serving for it.

Belluccis volleys just seem to get worse everytime i watch him

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Good stuff from gulbis. But yeah, belluci's volleys...

Soderling vs gulbis in the next round is a great matchup.

SÖDERLING - HAAS - GONZO - DOLGOPOLOV - FEDERER - DELPO - MILOS - STANISLAS "FAMILY MAN" WAWRINKA - EDBERG - WHOEVER IS PLAYING NADULL

As I told the lads, it looked like Bellucci practiced on clay courts for this upcoming hard season. That looping forehand is nothing on hard my boy.

bellucci was just sooo bad when going to the net, gulbis just trashed him with dropshots, passes and lobs. bellucci really shouldn't have gone down so easy

Re: Toronto R1: Gulbis def. Bellucci 6-1, 6-4

Nice battle in 2nd set but Guilbis is still playing russian roulette, as he said once. with his drop shots.
He is stubborn and seems to forget to move after hitting so
he got overpassed sometimes by Bellucci.
But he hit some incredible shots as he could do when on the zone.
7 DF, but he won, nevertheless.
He needs some more matches to find back his rythm. I hope he keeps his mind straight against Soda...could be a good match...
