Tomas Berdych complains about playing at 12pm at noon.

He has threatened to not return to Legg Mason next year because he feels he should get better treatment as the No.1 seed.

I have no doubt if he is an American, he would be scheduled to play in the evening.

While he has some valid points, I think he should not use this as excuse for losing to Malisse.

Uhh...maybe they shouldn't do that but he shouldn't be saying that after a loss and that in no way should effect him.

BTW "at 12 pm at noon" is rather redundant

If you do "Edit" and then "Advanced Edit" or "complete edit" or something, you should be able to

Berdych also complained about haw-eye technology being wrong today. The higher his ranking the more a prick he is.

Re: Tomas Berdych complains about playing at 12pm at noon.

He had less than a 12 hr rest after playing a 2 and a half hour match and he played on court 1, absolutely stupid considering he's the number 1 seed.

Should he use that as an excuse why he lost today? No, Malisse played great. Berdych is learning from Federer fast.

Well, what I've always liked about Berdy is he speaks his mind...

I was surprised by this as well. At one point he even went and pointed in the middle of the doubles alley on a ball that was clearly inside the line (as was confirmed by hawk-eye). I couldn't help but wonder how many bad calls he made on opponent's winners when he had to call his own lines in juniors

He has a point though, as the number 1 seed he should be treated better, all the Americans were treated better even qualifiers like Sweeting.

I'm sure this is just a one off though.

Re: Tomas Berdych complains about playing at 12pm at noon.

Typical clutching from a sore loser. I doubt he would have said anything if he won against Malisse.

Yes, it is better to play in the evening, but still.. He is a tennis player. Players usually play at different times during the day. Which means the match times sometimes are a bit unconvential. This is not something new, and especially during slams they have to be ready to play at all times, even during the night. How many times didn't Nadal or Federer play night matches? And I doubt it's better to play at night. My point is just that this happens to all players, not just him. So he shouldn't complain too much.
