Well obviously he doesn't deserve to be in the semifinals if he didn't play well enough to get there.
But I do prefer seeing him in the final four because generally, he plays his best tennis at the latter stages of slams and even when he doesn't his opponents usually play spectacular matches to overcome him. So either way we get good tennis.
