Braunschweig 125K R1: Conor Niland d. Thomas Muster 6-2 6-1

I watched this match live on stream and Muster was just Only held serve once the entire match, and Niland wasn't doing much more than hitting hard and deep down the middle of the court.

You have to admire Muster's determination, but he's simply not capable of being competitive at the pro level any more. Even though Niland is having his best year on tour, nobody should be losing to him 6-2 6-1, and especially not on a clay court.

42

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Dunno what else Muster was expecting at 42.

Imagine what a real claybunny would do to him - might be a double bagel.

Niland is a generous guy.

Wasn't gonna go humiliate the old champ. Conor is a hard-working fighter and not the most naturally gifted you'll ever see. I'm sure he has a lot of respect for a guy like Muster.
