better display from the Feds. disappointing performance by Jürgen though. was expecting more of a test from the Austrian.

meh, boring match.
good returning and decent rallying by Fed, but average at best, overall.
melzer barely showed up.

Melzer must be glad that that's the first time they've played on tour.

Not really. Federer was not blasting winners. He was playing solid, keeping the ball in play. Not JesusFed for sure.

Proud fan of Olderer, the GOAT.

Re: Wimbledon R4 : Federer def. Meltzer 6-3 6-2 6-3

The first really convincing performance from Federer here at Wimbly!
I'd say B-level, did what needed to be done against a truly miserable Melzer, who, as Sophocles said so well, 'seemed to have missed Rafa's memo'. Didn't come to the party at all, maybe the heat played a role in that?
I expected a lot better from him...

Glad to see Feds serving well, ROS was aggressive this time, no brainfarts, in all, pleased to see this.
I'm getting back a little hope.

Am I still here? As one, with The Fear?
Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"

Compared to what we've been seeing recently from Fed, maybe I exaggerated a bit.

2007-8 Fed might be more accurate.

Well played Mr. Federer

If he plays like that he has little to fear on grass.

Federer was not nearly as underwhelming as people are suggesting here, but sure, he can get better.
