Who will be the American #2 at the end of the year?

With Isner and Querrey neck-to-neck in the rankings and race, who knows who will end the year ranked higher. Also, we can't discount the other players just yet.

Surely you are underestimating DeHeart's chances?

Re: Who will be the American #2 at the end of the year?

I think it will be Isner. He's still got improvements to make, but I think he's got far better potential than Querrey at this point. Sam hasn't proven to me that he wants to be amongst the top players, contending for the biggest titles. Granted neither player has performed well at Masters 1000 events or at the slams, I think Isner will make his improvements soon enough and perhaps sneak into the Top 10 if all goes fine by year's end. We shall see. We still have a long way to go in 2010.

There are times, rare moments, when the greatest of champions fall. Maybe because of a bad day or maybe there's pain within. One thing you can be sure of, is that all the great champions will bounce back again. It may not be today. It may not be tomorrow. But one day, they'll be back again. And they'll be better than ever. Why??? Because that's what great champions do. They survive.

Tough one. I'd say Isner by whisker this year, although next year I expect the gap to be larger.

Isner will be number 1 before long.

I love all aspects of TENNIS.

Federer - The Artist
Murray - The Tactician
Nalbandian - The Ballstriker
Llodra - The S/V
