Wimbledon R3: Daniel Brands def. Victor Hanescu 6-7(7) 6-7(3) 7-6(7) 6-3 3-0 ret.

Great comeback. Hanescu was very annoyed as he retired.

I believe Hanescu had two matchpoints in third set including one on serve at *5-4.

Shut up idiots. The old fart in the chair didn't do anything when Victor asked that some morons in the crowd to stop booing.

Re: Wimbledon 3r: Brands def. Hanescu 6-7 6-7 7-6 6-3 3-0 RET.

He started tanking midway through the 4th, and at the end was swearing at the crowd, blowing the match like a 12yr old - deliberately standing on the line to footfault doublefault, rolling other doublefaults miles off target at 1/4 pace.

Low light was only 15 minutes away max too, but he just didn't want to play anymore. Wasn't injured either, didn't need the trainer at the previous break.

Stay classy, Victor.

'grats to Brands, this is a good run for him.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

So much for Hanescu being a steady, solid veteran.

does that deserve spitting at people in the crowd and a proper tank by purposely standing on the lines when serving (to get foot-faulted) and also purposely not getting a serve in during that last game anyway, alter ego?

Are you fucking blind ? He couldn't move from 3-4 in the 4th set. He couldn't get down on his knees to hit a BH.

And because of that he stepped on the line while serving? Because of that he spit into the crowd?

Well this must've been an odd match judging by the reactions

Brands in a Wimbledon 4th round after his good match against Tsonga at RG...sounds like he's building confidence

Then why did he say he didn't need the trainer at the end of the 4th? Treatment at the changeovers and a medical would have taken into bad light time as well, and the chance to come back the next day and win.
