i don't think that crazy man has spent a day in jail, he was freed, and whats worst, monica has to pay for the lawyers' fees, there is no justice for her, I can understand why she never returns to Gerrmany. Graf would have to retire should Monica not being stabbled

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

2 years i think the guy got in jail, what a joke. geeze i just looked up seles record and how is this -
Quote:
From the period of January 1991 to February 1993, Seles reached the final in 33 out of 34 tournaments she competed, winning 22 titles in the process. Along the way, she compiled an astounding 159-12 win-loss record (92.9%) that easily rivals Roger Federer’s dominance today on the men’s tour. Monica’s performance when the stakes were high was even more impressive: at the most prestigious Grand Slam tournaments, Seles had won eight singles titles dating back to 1990, with a 55-1 Grand Slam record. Seles’s record-setting $2.6 million in prize money earned in 1992 was eclipsed only by her $7 million earned in endorsement deals.

The difference is Seles was robbed of her prime. She was owning Graf and was never the same after the psychological damage. I was enjoying her ownage of Graf before that stabbing.

Re: Seles & Nadal: Similar Paths To the Top of Tennis

Seles grunts are as distinct as the Nadal grunts. Both serves were average. Her two-handed forehands are distinct just like the Nadal topspin forehand.

Their opponents were German - well Federer is Swiss-German. I really feel bad for Seles. She was one of my favorite wta players. Her stabbing probably akin to Nadal's injuries that will probably rob him of his full potential.

honestly what do you think would have happened if she wasn't stabbed, her stats were crazy. Her nadal would have been toe to toe on success

same here. But for the stabbing she would have left behind a record that wud have been very hard to beat. Tragic.

Please tell me you didn't just compare Seles' stabbing to Nadal's injuries. Nope, you did. Wow.

No I didn't. The idea was that it was robbing of potential. And that's exactly what I posted. Not to say Nadal is done, either.

Yes the Seles/Nadal vs Graf/Federer comparisons have been noted many times before. Not surprisingly I was always much more fond of Monica personally.

Nadal's injuries are a direct cause of his stupid style of play. Seles' stabbing had nothing to do with her game.

Allez!

Nadal and Seles added a different dimension to the classic style of Graf and Federer, often prompting the rather conservative media and tennis community to almost brand them as somehow anti-tennis due to their approach to the game—in terms of their never say die attitude and willingness to take on the best player in the world and overcome their rivals.
wtf? who has ever branded nadal anti-tennis? why is it 'anti-tennis' to take on the best player in the world

also, did you notice that seles and nadal both have 2 arms and 2 legs too? wow amazing!!! coincidence! they also both have long hair and 6 letters in the forename and 5 in their surname. THEYRE TWINS

Guess that explains the comparisons. Steffi is my fave women's player ever and I don't care for Seles, her grunts and playing style, bleagh no thanks.
