Results on the Quallies: First round of Wimbledon

There were some surprising results on the Quallies in the 1st round of Wimbledon:
* Ivan Navarro lost with Meffert
* Zverev lost with Begemann (he is ok as a player but not to beat Zverev(
* Guccione lost with Peya
* Bemelmans lost with Ilhan
* Ascione lost with "Bedene". What the hell is going on with Thierry?!?!?!
* Eaton lost with Karanusic (at least not on grass)
* Surprising the way Dancevic lost with Mahut
* Hrbaty with Martin Fisher.
* Millman with Delgado: Delgado is a dangerous player that grass may suit well for his game but I expected Millman to win that match
^ Finally, Brzezicki winning on grass!!!

I'm shocked Mischa lost to Begemann, whose basically a worse version of him. He's collapsed so far after his injuries

i'm shocked roko won...and a marathon at that. i'm pretty sure he's retiring this year, he just has no motivation.
that said, he's had some good showings at wimbledon, so i'm not surprised he got past eaton

my favorite was the worst number 3 player in the world

Millman isn't good on grass and Delgado's game is more suited to it.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Navarro's loss was dissapointing. i know meffert beat ferrero last week so he was probably high on confidence but it would have been nice to see the serve and volleyer get through

To be honest I didn`t have the chance to see Millman playing before but according to his past results he seems to do it pretty well on grass. Delgado has a good serve, his volley is ok and display an aggresive style that suit well on hard courts and could suit well for grass courts too but according to his past results he had never won more than two matches in a row in this surface. That`s the reason why I believed Millman could had been the favourite for that match.

Re: Results on the Quallies: First round of Wimbledon

There were some interesting results fullfilling the first round:
* Ebden continue with good results on grass courts beating David Marrero
* Huta Galung achieved one of his best victories on the last times beating Christophe Rochus (although grass is not the best surface for Jesse)
* Good victory of Jesse Witten against Bobby Reynolds

That`s all belonging to the 1st round.
