I agree. I was impressed by Navarro today, especially in the firt set. That being said, Andy's victory was never in doubt. He is still good on grass, even though he had some issues with the knee today.

DELPO

Also supporting known chokers Verdasco, Lopez and Monaco

Yeah it's nice to see a S&Volleyer nowadays but lets face it, the guy it's just not good enough to play this style

Navarro is nice to watch, Murray played average, but in my opinion he is not enough to beat Nadal at this moment.
He needs to improve his game in all departments.

Great points by Murray in the TB, stood there when he needed to. Has to up his game though, if he wants to win this.

Re: Queens: Murray def. I. Navaro pastor 7-6, 6-3.

Murray didn't play amazing, got much better by the tiebreak and especially the start and end of the second set. Playing an S&V, aggressive player in his first match on grass was always going to be tough, Navarro played very well in set 1 and served nicely, Andy didn't quite have the timing down with the return and his knee wasn't 100% but he did enough.

He'll play better in his next match I'm sure, but he will need to pick it up if he plays Fish in R3.

Dreadful stuff, if this wannabe champ is one of the faves for Wimbledon, then tennisis pure comedy nowadays...

Re: Queens: Murray def. I. Navaro pastor 7-6, 6-3.

This Navarro is good on grass. Much better to see than Mugray and all those other defensive clowns.

Tsonga - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Gasquet - F.Lopez - Monfils - Haas - Janowicz - Youzhny - Tomic - Hewitt - Gulbis - Mahut - Haase - Schoorel - Sijsling - Huta Galung - De Bakker - Van der Duim - Westerhof - Middelkoop - Koolhof - Lootsma - S&T. Griekspoor - Sels - Van Rijthoven

All time: Safin - Schalken - Krajicek - Sluiter - Verkerk - Henman - Ivanisevic - Nalbandian - Ferrero - Philippoussis - Sampras - Siemerink - Blake - F.Gonzalez - Ancic - Haarhuis/Eltingh

Still supporting all the Dutchies despite their great choking skills
Looking forward to the Dutch Futures and Challengers this summer!

Would it better for him to be another of the 88957436734876 baseliners, seeing how he's short, slow, and has an unimpressive forehand and a weak backhand?

He'd be in the 300s if he played like that.

Funny this recent idea that you have to be a top 50 player to play S&V.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

No, but you need talent. It's the hardest style to play in my opinion.

Perhaps you're right, you need more technical talent to play that style.

But about Navarro, would he be better off playing another way?

Don't get me wrong, I kind of admire Navarro for his courage to play S&V. It's just I don't think he has the game. For instance, think about Feliciano Lopez, he has a big serve, can volley, he's tall...but Navarro with that serve and everything...I don't think so.
