Re: How far can Ginepri make it?

I think 40-50

EDIT: That isn't an option, I'll say 50-60 then

You heard it here first: Ginepri to end 2010 as number 1.

Re: How far can Ginepri make it?

He's already made it to the Top 15 before... are you asking where his ranking will be by the end of this year??

Robby's a very psychological player... he's known by analysts as a "confidence player", someone who feels better when he has played enough matches to get a rhythm going. However, he's also a low-expectations player, who plays better when less is expected of him, and there's not a lot of pressure on him to do well. In addition to this, he's also been known by some to be a "choker"... someone who is talented enough to do well in the beginning of a match and get a lead, but becomes too tight when it's time for him to close out the match. Countless times in the past, all it took was one bad point, one bad mishit or one bad line-call to completely ruin his focus, and turn the match around to where he ends up losing it, even when it appeared before like he had it.

Half the battle for him is being able to separate the psychological and emotional factors of a match, and trying to just focus on the strategical tactics of the game. If he could ever do that on a consistent or permanent basis, we could see him in the Top 20 again...

Re: How far can Ginepri make it?

Ginepri had his "5 minutes" in 2005, since then he's been very inconsistent and honestly I don't see any base to think he'd suddenly play a constant good tennis.
