Almagro is a good fighter and wins these types of close matches often against everyone not named Rafael Nadal Parera.

Maybe he's a good fighter, but not a good player, if he needs a third set tie-break to defeat Anderson on clay.

Anderson actually has won like 2 clay challengers in his career, I know he won at least one in Italy last year. He's also had a good season this year.

Nicolas should have won easier probably on this slow damp clay of today in Munich, but what's most important for him is he got the win.

One match isn't a consistent pattern, so you can't say he is bad in close matches just because he lost a few, since everyone has.

His record vs. Andreev in close matches isn't good, however.

He does have a good amount of close wins though. Over Gasquet in Acapulco, Malisse in Australia.

Almagro the mental giant won't lose another set in this tournament.

Cilic should better retire before the match to avoid the embarrassment.
