If he won this match, he could have drawn Marco C. or Baghdatis and make the QF and get in the top 100. Very terrible loss. Maybe he tanked for a LL position, otherwise, no excuse.

Olek have much more heavy weapons to dictate points on clay...Somdev have a good movement on hardcourts...but is just an average mover on clay...and no single shot to dominate the rallys or finish them when in good position...he colud only hope that Olek misses and give him the point

Olek didnt miss much and here is the scoreline

Yes, this sounds about what I expected. Somdev actually likes to play on clay, but his game doesn't do much for him on the surface at all, simply doesn't hit the ball well enough. Sidorenko is a nice player, hopefully he starts to reach is potential.
