I don't get it. Did he think he could outlast Ferrer playing defense ?
What is he paying Corretja for, to tell him to keep the ball in play? What was all the slicing about? Ferrer was comfortable, he didn't even play a great match.
If Murray's ambition is to win a couple of matches here and there on clay, perhaps reaching the third round at RG, then he's on the right track. But I would think someone like him would try to play far more offensive: the way he played Nadal at the AO and at MC 2009.
Ferrer was the usual beastly stuff, save for some wobbles when ahead.
Murray couldn't serve most of the match, first set was something like 30%. Way too many basic errors too, and yeah ......that smash to hold at *3-3. Was slightly the better player in the 2nd set till that point, holding pretty easily and pushing Ferrer on serve.
