do you? cuz if you've watched nando last couple of weeks, you'd know that he stands a chance at french open if he maintains his current form

Thanks. I really believe that if he keeps on performing like that then he is in with a chance.

If both Federer and Nadal lose early, which is extremely unlikely, then Verdasco has maybe a 2% chance of winning the FO.

Pretty sure we'll have an all Spanish finals this year.

Re: Verdasco: 2010 French open Champion?

Depends on if he cruises through failures ( Berdych, Nole MC) or Chookers ( Melzer,Ferrer, (Soda) ) but i gotta give him that he has not chooked half as bad recently himself and not made so many DF.s!!

Re: Verdasco: 2010 French open Champion?

Heh, nice thread.

All top players need to be eliminated in early rounds.
Besides, Verdasco in GS is capable to choke with simply everybody.

Of course, he has skills to be a Grand Slam champion, but his mentality is really devastated so he will be slamless and forgotten, what is sad.

Re: Verdasco: 2010 French open Champion?

I would love to see him go far in the tournament because I like his style, and well, he's hot. It would be so nice for him to win, but he'll need a good draw and a lot of confidence.

This, LOL.

No way on Earth Nando beats Nadal in RG (or clay anywhere LOL). Perhaps if someone else knocks the bigger Spaniard out.

Re: Verdasco: 2010 French open Champion?

A brief calculation puts Verdasco on top of the list as far as points won on clay this year goes (excluding Davis Cup).
Code:
Position Player 2010 Clay Points
1. Verdasco 1190
1.(t) Ferrer 1190
3. Ferrero 1025
4. Nadal 1000

lllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
