I am not sure if it might be a bit too early to make a thread like this but the second most prestigious claycourt tennis event starts on Sunday.

I'm going with Nadal.

Edit: Del Potro isn't playing this so, well, don't vote for him.

No way in hell is Fed winning this, I just can't wait to see which random he loses to. Will it be Julien, Marcos, Tomas, Stan (like in MC 2009)? You just never know anymore. So exciting!

I vote Rafa. Out of the people listed, the only ones I think can win are Rafa, Robin and Nole a distant third.

Saturday at noon Rome time. I'm personally hoping Rafa and Fed are in the same half, that's if Fed can even make the semis. Doubtful considering recent Masters record.

Rafa.

Doubt Muzz will make any sort of splash and Novak will probably lose to the first decent opponent he faces. Maybe Roger will do one better than last year and make the final.

Given his clay form in general though, the title is Rafa's to lose.

roger/rafa in the same half? not good for the tournament in $$$$$ terms

BTW: Roger is looking pretty fit, the best shape I've seen since the AO 07 :)

Can I change my vote to King Oscar then? :worship:

I don’t think Fed wants any part of Rafa in Rome. But if they do meet, he'll get abused, debased, and dick-slapped around like a two-bit whore.

Btw, the new stadium looks quite intimate and charming. A smallish court and the 2nd tier looks a bit steeply angled, but that’s a small price to pay for being so close to the action. The fans will practically be on top of the players :) .

Awesome stadium.

no way i do not think that will happen at all, it was not the case in IW/Miami, the organisers definitely want a nadal and federer final. i bet nole and rafa will be in the same half once more.

i will be really shocked if we get a rafa/fed SF!
It's just pure luck that Nadal and Federer keep landing on different sides of the draw. There should be a 50/50 chance.

I think the poll should be "How many games will Nadal lose?" :) , I dont' wanna Rafa win the tournament but with Djokovic and Murray playing like they're playing, Del Potro and Davydenko out, Federer making his debut in clay this season it will be difficult Rafa doesn't win this, maybe if Soderling plays like he did in RG last year has chances
