Tsonga was too good, JCF was too bad.

Overpowered as expected.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

I think Tsonga played a really solid match. Good winner/ue ratio.

You might call it 'took him to the cleaners' . Juanqui got blown off the court, too bad. I don't think there was much he could do about it really. Whatever, good luck on the clay, Juanqui!

Congrats, Jo-Willie. Impressive performance!

Tsonga far too strong today. Loads of winners and very few UEs. Hit 8 aces in 8 service games.

JCF had a chance to get back in but hit two uncharacteristic BH errors to give Tsonga the break at *2-3 in the 2nd set.

To be honest I was a bit surprised to see Ferrerro being considered 50/50 against Tsonga in the www thread. Tsonga is looking pretty good in this tournament, if he could just stop having a bad service game every now and then he'd be looking like a contender.

Yup, this was a mismatch - a Heavyweight vs. a Welterweight.

JC tried to play aggressive by going for lines and coming to net, but he just doesn’t have the weapons to hurt Tsonga on HC.
