Miami surface/pace

I'm wondering how fast the surface is in Miami, especially compared to IW. I know IW is a very slow hardcourt, but I thought Miami was as well. A guy like Ferrer making the SF there twice for example. But there also a lot of South-Americans there, but maybe that is because of the Latino vibe.

Miami always looks like it plays a lot slower than IW.

Re: Miami surface/pace

I hear it's generally more humid in Miami than in IW so the ball feels heavier and doesn't bounce as high. Is that true?

Re: Miami surface/pace

I think I read that its the exact same (very slow) surface, but the conditions makes Miami slower. The desert air in IW makes the ball travels faster, and what Bunny said.

Re: Miami surface/pace

But it was windy in IW as well, wasn't it? The humidity makes sense, but maybe it will be warmer in Miami which makes the circumstances quicker.

Slower and lower bouncing than IW. Just like last year. And the year before. And the year before that.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

Every siongle week. The nostalgiatards are so obsessed with slight differences in ball bounces.

And the year before that.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Miami surface/pace

Both are slower than ass. Miami might be a bit slower and lower bouncing. But still both are clard courts.
