Lots of great images from that final.

Will Federer regain the #1 spot and break Sampras's record for most weeks at the top?

Roger // Rafa // Raonic // Söderling // Goffin // Ivo // Wawrinka // Baker // Delpo

I really can't resist a Fedspam here.

Rome, match vs. Djokovic

And this is worth it now because people forget what a frustrated youngster the GOAT sometimes was.
Rome 2003, vs Zabaleta.

Not tenniswise per se, just catching a great champion in his moment of defeat.

Kind of like that Federer pic losing Wimbledon.

Just an incredible split second captured perfectly. I love how the flash makes it all look so real and immediate. Rafa's emotion is incredible, and you can see the hand placed to support himself before he falls flat on his back.

Re: Brilliant Tennis Photography Thread

some amazing photos above. the fed backhand shot is incredible.

one of my favorite pics for the photography - love how where the racquet is in relation to marat's body, like he's walking away from it in disgust:

Exactly. It's not merely about just 'technically perfect shots of a perfect tennis moment' per se, but also about pictures that tell a major story, like these pictures do.

As for this particular matter,

... is awesome too.
