Rotterdam SF: Youzhny def. Djokovic 7-6, 7-6

Congratulations to the Russian for beating the second best player in the world.

Too strong, Youzhny. Should have closed it out sooner, though.

Laughable start to the year for Djokovic

Special thanks to Zeleni for his kind rep, see there was no need to wait for the final

I watched the end of the second set, the game where Youzhny served for it. He made a very lousy error and a DF to hand the break back to Djokovic. Nole did well from there on in to weather the storm but in the TB Misha wasn't willing to fade. Epic, epic 28 shot rally made the difference. Loved that point.

Congrats to Colonel! I'm hoping for a cracker tomorrow.

Djokovic will drop out of top 4 this year. Delpotro and Murray are much better than him at the moment.

Far from 2nd best player in the world, really. Murray should pass him soon.

Nice win for the colonel, I hope he won't be tired for tomorrow.

Nole is so depressed, only wakes up at the end and then doesn't bother . He should definitely change his coach or something because he is depressed and these results are pathetic

Bit of a choke from Misha while serving at 5-3 but still managed to close it out.

Re: Rotterdam SF: Youzhny def. Djokovic 7-6, 7-6

Youzhny played great! Got a little tight at *5-3 in the second but came back really nicely. It's good to see him doing so well again.

On the other hand, Novak was definitely subpar and certainly should've won the second at 5-2 in the breaker.

Djokovic with experimenting with new shots and tactics. If he had taken this match seriously he could have won it, but spent to much time with approach shots and going to the net where he looked uncomfortable.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
