Memphis QR1: Harrison d. Yani 4-6 7-6(1) 6-4

Normally I would say that this is a great win for Ryan, but not deserving of a thread. In this case, however....
Ryan was down 4-6 *1-5 30-30 and he scratched and clawed his way back into the second set and got it to a tiebreak. He dominated that to take the set. The final set was back and forth, with Ryan going up a break and then giving it back. He got the break lead back and had two MPs when Yani was serving at 3-5 but couldn't convert. He finally served it out to 30 in the final game.

Disappointing that Mike couldn't finish it off, but good to see a youngster composing himself so well.

Interesting thing is Ryan came back from a double break down to even the first set at 5 all against Mike in Dallas, but then lost 8 of the next 10 games to lose the match in straights. Today his back was really against the wall, but after he got the two breaks back he kept the momentum going.

Pitiful excuse for a tennis player this Yani. Embarrasment to not only American tennis, but tennis as a whole in general. Please, please retire.
