Rotterdam R1: Benneteau def. Ljubicic 6-3, 6-3

Horror match for Ljubo . He looks on the court like he doesn't have an idea what to do next . He doesn't know if he want's to be aggressive or passive , simply looks unlikely on the court, like he isn't there . FH was always his worst shot but these days it looks like an amateur shot . Worrying signs for Ivan ...

My god Ljubo, you wouldn't have won a match in Bergamo playing like this. Get it together or retire.

Ljubo used to be such a force in the circuit back in the day...

Even though he got his ranking back up into seeding territory last year, he wasn't very consistent at all. This seems to be continuing although now it seems like he doesn't even give a shit.

Re: Rotterdam R1: Benneteau def. Ljubicic 6-3, 6-3

He is 31 next month, hardly unusual he can't play at top level every tournament.

He made 4 masters QFs last year - that's where he's getting his points, not mugging around in 250s. Sure if he's in form in an indoors event, and the draw opens up, he'll go for the title, but this week and last he clearly wasn't physically all there (he did have a leg problem before Zagreb after all).

I watched about the last 3 games of this match, I slightly lost the will to live.

Cut the guy some slack. He's not 20 anymore.

Benny can make you pay for not being physically up there on a good day.

Too bad. Ivan cant find his game anymore.. If he have one at all.
Todays match was embarassing, like the one last week at indoors.
If u cant find your game Ivan, please retire. Samanosuke said that he have been playing like an amater lately. Thats true. He cant hit a court with FH, BH is here but much worser than few months ago. Slice is also worser and worser.
Is getting bad. So play like u used to few years ago, and play like u know, dont be pussy like today. Ty.

Jeez, it's just one match, give His Baldyness a break. Only 3.5 months ago he was beating Verdasco and Monfils in the Shanghai masters, and outplaying Nadal (before injury got him). The next tournament he won Lyon.

Its not only one match. It was AO (l. to Karlovic) ZAGREB (l. to Lacko) ROTTERDAM (l. to Benneteau)

Legenda should call it a day seriously. It is never easy walking away but Legenda is not getting any younger. Things are gonna get worse so why not retire and avoid further humiliation.
