Rotterdam R1: Flo Mayer chokes past Tipsarevic 6-3 6-7(6) 7-6(6)

Twists and turns

Flo Mayer played really well but kept choking at the important points of the match.

Wasted 1 MP in the 2nd set at 6-5* and then led 3-0 in the 3rd set. Tipsarevic had 1 match point at 6-5* in the 3rd set too

Tipsarevic was so close to win the most dramatic 3-set match in his career...

Good.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

No, tennis lost. Tipsarevic was so much better in the 2nd and 3rd set. He was attacking and Mayer was moonballing back.

Just anxious play by Tipsa on the important points in the 3rd set, especially on the mp. Must be atough loss...

Re: Rotterdam R1: Flo Mayer chokes past Tipsarevic 6-3 6-7(6) 7-6(6)

Tipsy BP convertion was 1/10. Absolutely horrible.

Tsonga - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Gasquet - F.Lopez - Monfils - Haas - Janowicz - Youzhny - Tomic - Hewitt - Gulbis - Mahut - Haase - Schoorel - Sijsling - Huta Galung - De Bakker - Van der Duim - Westerhof - Middelkoop - Koolhof - Lootsma - S&T. Griekspoor - Sels - Van Rijthoven

All time: Safin - Schalken - Krajicek - Sluiter - Verkerk - Henman - Ivanisevic - Nalbandian - Ferrero - Philippoussis - Sampras - Siemerink - Blake - F.Gonzalez - Ancic - Haarhuis/Eltingh

Still supporting all the Dutchies despite their great choking skills
Looking forward to the Dutch Futures and Challengers this summer!
