Are most of the ATP tournaments going to finish on hard or carpet tournaments=?
The Acapulco tournament is planning to change the surface from clay to hard courts the following year. The Director of the ATP of Buenos Aires is thinking to do the same. That would be the end of the clay court Latinamerican swing. The amount of clay court tournaments is declining drastically as it happened with grass court tournaments in the past. So pro tennis is turning on a game with most of the players that almost play the same sort of game with no important differences on their styles. If the intention of the ATP is to follow this tendency is ok but one of the most interesting points of this sport is that tennis is so different (at least is used to be not many years ago) among players that do it on different surfaces. Don`t you think that is time to return to the old format of tennis with a stable balance between clay, grass, hard and carpet tournaments? I would like to hear your opinions.
